Loaf expands into Midlands with Solihull store
Furniture retailer Loaf has opened a new store in Solihull as it continues its showroom expansion.
The opening means Loaf now has six stores in the UK.
The 5,000 square foot space showcases Loaf’s range of sofas and other furniture and also offers a mattress testing station and arcade games to keep kids amused.
With the exterior featuring Loaf’s trademark blue tiles, the shop is situated in the centre of the town.
Commenting on the opening, Loaf’s founder Charlie Marshall said: “Solihull is a stone’s throw from Birmingham, the UK’s second largest metropolis. It’s the place to put your feet up in The Midlands and loaf around on our squishy wares.”
Previously only seen online, Loaf opened its first bricks-and-mortar store in Battersea in October 2015. Since then the retailer has opened stores in London’s Notting Hill and Spitalfields, Wilmslow, St Albans and Guildford.
In January 2014, Peter Simon, the founder of Monsoon and Accessorize, took a significant minority stake in Loaf for an undisclosed sum.
