Kingfisher promotes Sue Harries to group ecommerce director role

Kingfisher, the owner of B&Q and Screwfix, has promoted Sue Harries to the position of group ecommerce director.

Harries was previously director of ecommerce at Screwfix where she has worked for the last 15 years.  In her new role, she will be responsible for driving online sales across the group.

JJ Van Oosten, chief customer and digital officer at Kingfisher, said: “We are always especially proud to promote colleagues from within the business, so I’m delighted to announce Sue’s new role. She has played a key part in growing Screwfix’s digital channels, and now the full group will benefit from her drive and expertise.

“Sue is a great example of how we nurture talent at Kingfisher, rising through the ranks at Screwfix supported by leadership programmes and secondment opportunities.”

Harries joined  Screwfix as a senior commercial finance manager in 2005. Prior to Screwfix, she began her career as a qualified accountant and held senior finance roles at Peacocks & AXA.
