JYSK celebrates successful Bradford opening

JYSK has enjoyed one of its most successful UK store openings to date in Bradford.

The Scandinavian-owned furniture retailer had queues forming from 8am outside its new shop at the Phoenix Retail Park on launch day.

The arrival of the store follows a new shop opening at St Helens  two weeks earlier and the launch of a relocated and upgraded store in Lincoln in May.  Following the opening, the Lincoln store saw a month’s sales delivered in just two days.

JYSK is planning to have a total of 52 stores in the UK.

David Ashton, country manager at JYSK UK, said: “Our new team in Bradford worked incredibly hard to showcase a beautiful new store.

“This is a slightly more ‘stand alone’ unit than our locations elsewhere, therefore we know the power of local marketing will be vital to success.”

JYSK will also be opening a new store in Wakefield next month.

The retailer has around 2,800 shops in 54 countries and an annual turnover of  €3.58 billion.
