Gap launches second homewares collection with Walmart

Fashion retailer Gap has launched its second homewares collection in the US with the addition of furniture and rugs to the assortment.

Available exclusively at Walmart. The Gap Home range also includes an expanded assortment of décor, tabletop, bedding and bath items. A capsule collection of bedding styles will also be launching in selected Walmart stores.

The Gap Home Furniture range, which will be priced from $49.88 to $629, will consist of more than 150 items including sofas, ottomans, TV stands, headboards, rugs and more.

The retailer said partnering with companies through licensing agreements to launch new categories is key to its domestic and international growth.

Adrienne Gernand, head of Gap Inc. strategic alliances, licensing and real estate, added: “We have seen an incredible customer response to Gap Home since we launched in June.

“Through our partnership with Walmart, we are scaling the business quickly by entering new categories within the home space and introducing an assortment of items in select Walmart stores.

“With more customers investing in their homes and looking for on-trend, quality, affordable styles, we are continuing to think big, deepen our relationship with our customer and deliver timeless American style for modern living to homes across the country.”
