Frasers Group acquires Amara homeware retailer
Sports Direct owner Frasers Group is continuing on the acquisition trail with the purchase of luxury homeware retailer Amara.
Founded in 2005 by Sam and Andrew Hood as an independent boutique, Amara became an online retailer in 2008 and now has a global audience in over 100 countries. The company sells products from over 300 brands including the likes of Versace Home, Missoni, Fornasetti, Roberto Cavalli and Kartell.
In a LinkedIn post, David Epstein, Frasers Group managing director for premium and luxury, said: “I am delighted to welcome Amara to Frasers Group.
“This acquisition will bring to life our ambition for Flannels to be a leader in luxury homeware, creating a best-in-class edit of global luxury brands and retail experiences.”
Last week Frasers Group announced that it had acquired the Gieves & Hawkes menswear brand.
