Feather & Black returns to profit
Feather & Black, the bedroom furniture and mattress retailer, has returned to profit after the implementation of a successful marketing strategy and a relaunched website.
In the year to 2 October, the company made a profit of £203,000 compared to a loss of £3.6 million in the previous year.
During the period, the company’s turnover also improved, rising from £22.6 million to £23.2 million.
Daniel Wade, chief executive of Feather & Black, said: “We can put this down to a series of measures including; a new and successful marketing strategy and campaign, the re-launch of our website which has since become the brand’s largest single store, with 25% of overall sales coming through online sales. We have also completed several store refurbishments and recently opened a new store in Cheltenham.”
Founded in 2004, Feather & Black has 25 regional stores located across the country with a high street presence in cities such as London, Bristol, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds and Manchester.
