Estée Lauder Companies promotes Stéphane de La Faverie to group president role

Estée Lauder Companies has promoted Stéphane de La Faverie to the position of group president, although  he will continue in his role of global brand president for Estée Lauder and Aerin following the move.

As group president, he will report directly to Fabrizio Freda, president and chief executive of ELC, and will continue to report to Jane Hertzmark Hudis, executive group president, in his global brand president role.

In his new position, de La Faverie will be responsible for a portfolio of brands that will include Jo Malone London, Aramis and Designer Fragrances, Le Labo, Darphin, Lab Series, By Kilian, Editions de Parfums Frédéric Malle, Rodin Olio Lusso and Prescriptives.

Freda said: “Stéphane has extensive expertise leading brands, making him well suited to the significant leadership responsibilities of the group president role. As global brand president, Estée Lauder and Aerin, he has been the ideal leader to bring our company’s iconic namesake brand into an incredible phase of broad-based growth. His well-deserved promotion reflects his excellent track record of building and leading global brands, his expertise across categories and channels, and a keen understanding of local relevance.”

As group president, de La Faverie will also oversee and drive ELC’s recently launched third brand cluster which includes a range of artisanal and luxury fragrances.
