DFS appoints new chief financial officer
Furniture retailer DFS has named John Fallon as its new chief financial officer.
He will join the company’s board as an executive director on 14 November.
Fallon previously worked with Asda for 20 years where his most recent role was group chief financial officer. This involved playing a key role in the supermarket’s recent change of ownership.
Steve Johnson, DFS chairman, said, “I am delighted that John has agreed to join DFS as group CFO. His previous roles in retail will bring valuable experience and insight to the board. I look forward to working closely with John over the next few years.”
Tim Stacey, DFS chief executive, added: “We are really excited to welcome John to our group. He is a fantastic addition to our leadership team and brings a wealth of retail experience, leadership skills and energy to the group.”
