Designers Guild to expand King’s Road showroom

Designers Guild, the premium home and lifestyle company, is to expand its showroom on London’s King’s Road.

The company is planning to link its existing King’s Road home store and showroom together to create a one-stop shop dedicated to wallpaper and paint collections.

Situated at 275-277 King’s Road, the new space will offer all Designers Guild’s collections as well as brands such as Christian Lacroix Maison, William Yeoward, Ralph Lauren and the Royal Collection.

The store is due to open in late February 2018 and will be designed by an in-house team.

Simon Jeffreys, Designers Guild chief executive, said: “Our brand’s emphasis on style and sophistication has a natural affinity with Chelsea, making the decision to invest in our King’s Road location an easy one. We are excited to unveil our new and improved showroom, offering Chelsea the ultimate home decoration retail experience.”

The news follows recent openings in areas on the Sloane Stanley estate including Benjamin Moore’s debut UK showroom on Fulham Road. In addition, Joe & The Juice is planning to open another site on Fulham Road before Christmas.

Hannah Grievson, commercial property manager at Sloane Stanley, said: “Designers Guild offer one-of-a-kind fabrics, wallpaper, and home accessories and are a longstanding favourite with Chelsea shoppers. This exciting upsize will be a huge asset to our retail mix and ensure we continue to be the shopping destination of choice for design lovers in the capital.”
