Curated garden marketplace Sproutl expands indie partnerships
Sproutl, the new curated garden marketplace, has announced that it will be partnering with a further five independent garden centres, all much loved in their communities and offering unique product options.
Tates of Sussex, Fakenham Garden Centre in Norwich, Hollybush Garden Centre in Wolverhampton have joined, and products from catalogue will go live on the site during the course of April. Thirsk Garden Centre in York as well as Bosworth’s Garden Centre have also signed up, and their products will be coming online with the marketplace in the next few months.
These new garden centres will join existing partners on the platform making a total of 30 businesses now available. Over the past six months, the marketplace has expanded its product catalogue to over eleven thousand items. The new garden centres joining Sproutl will further increase the product offered by over 30%.
Sproutl is designed to take the pain out of selling online for horticultural suppliers. Sproutl manages the integration with suppliers’ systems, packaging and logistics and works across the retail garden sector to target a new and growing national audience that might not usually visit garden centres and prefer to shop online. It is a low risk, low-cost way for horticultural brands to access this new customer base allows Sproutl partners to generate incremental revenues.
Devin Sinclair, chief operating officer, Sproutl comments: “We aim to offer meaningful revenue growth for partners. Sproutl’s technology integrates with retailers existing systems. We manage logistics, packaging solutions, delivery and customer care, and our partners benefit from our expertise in mobile and online retailing and our marketing and PR. Sproutl is demystifying gardening with fun advice and inspirational content, cultivating a new nationwide audience and taking down barriers that may have stopped consumers from getting involved in gardening in the past. Our mission is to get everyone to plant something, and we are always on the lookout for new independent partners to join our marketplace “
Kate Seagrove, director from Hollybush Garden Centre, comments: “We are excited about the partnership with Sproutl; it allows us to build on our local existing customer base and take our offer to a new audience on a nationwide basis. Launching products on a new platform is often daunting, but the team at Sproutl has made it easy.”
Steven Hardiman from Tates Garden Centre comments: “Sproutl offer access for us to a new gardening audience. Through its marketplace, we can tap into a new generation of gardeners. We look forward to the journey with Sproutl, as we, in turn, continue to grow.”
Nick Haydon from Fakenham Garden Centre comments: “As an independent garden centre, prohibitively expensive for us to develop the integrated online facility that Sproutl offers. The marketplace solution is a low risk and cost-effective solution that allows us to have our products seen by more customers than ever before in an engaging and easy to shop way.”
Carol Paris, CEO Rosebourne, one of Sproutl’s founding garden centre partners, comments: “Partnering with Sproutl has had a big impact on us. Getting our products in front of a new nationwide audience has provided the business with a new revenue stream. We have enjoyed working with the team at Sproutl, who have helped us every step of the way with system integration, fulfilment, logistics and customer service.”
