Clas Ohlson sponsors Mamma Mia! The Party

Swedish homewares retailer Clas Ohlson is to become the official partner of Mamma Mia! The Party as the show makes its way to London for the first time.

The retailer’s long-term sponsorship will be supported by marketing, PR and social media activity which will be activated using the theme #BeMoreSwede.

Jon Peacock, country manager at Clas Ohlson, said: “ABBA is one of Sweden’s most loved and well-known exports and, as we like to think, so is Clas Ohlson. From the practicality of our product design to the ease of our shopping experience, we aim to be more Swede with everything we do – which is why we are thrilled to make this partnership happen.”

Following a successful run in Stockholm, the musical will be coming to London on 29 August. The show, three-course meal and ABBA disco is a celebration of the legendary Swedish band’s music, and builds on the success of the original musical and the two Mamma Mia! films.

Björn Ulvaeus, executive producer of Mamma Mia! The Party and one of the original members of ABBA, said: “We are thrilled to be partnering with Clas Ohlson on Mamma Mia! The Party in London. They are an exciting and innovative retail brand that will help bring a new and imaginative  partnership with our show.”
