Bensons for Beds partners with Stacey Solomon

Bensons for Beds has announced that TV presenter Stacey Solomon has become its first major brand ambassador as it launches its new Rollo by Slumberland ready-to-go mattresses.

The retailer is currently working to reinvent itself following a restructuring exercise which injected £25 million of new funds into the business in  June. Bensons has also launched a new web platform.

Bensons chief operating officer Joe Wykes said: “Stacey is one of the most popular personalities in Britain. She’s the perfect match for us and we’re thrilled to be working with her as we transform Bensons over the next few years. We have a great story to tell at Bensons about our expertise in sleep, British manufacturing and commitment to quality – with Stacey’s help we’re looking forward to telling that story.”

In July, Bensons bolstered its leadership team with a number of new appointments. This included the retailer’s chief executive Mark Jackson being joined by long-standing adviser Chris Howell as chairman. The new team is now implementing  Bensons’ transformation plan as it looks to position itself as a “refocused and resilient” business.
