Walgreens Boots Alliance appoints new chief financial officer
Walgreens Boots Alliance has appointed James Kehoe as the company’s executive vice president and global chief financial officer.
Most recently the chief financial officer and board director of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company, Kehoe will take up his new position on 1 June and will be based at the company’s headquarters in Deerfield in the US.
Kehoe has been chief financial officer of Takeda Pharmaceutical since June 2016 and was based in Tokyo, reporting directly to the company’s president and chief executive. Prior to that, he worked with Kraft Foods Group in the US, where his last role was executive vice president, chief financial officer. His previous experience also includes a number of finance-related positions over 25 years in Ireland, Germany, Italy, the US, Austria, Switzerland and Canada.

Kehoe will succeed George Fairweather, who has served as Walgreens Boots Alliance global chief financial officer since February 2015 and is now to become a senior advisor to chief executive Pessina on business development and finance.
