The Perfume Shop’s biggest price freeze saved shoppers over £870,000
Fragrance retailer The Perfume Shop has said its price freeze initiative has saved customers over £870,000 so far this year.
While the rollout began in the autumn of 2022, in February the retailer announced its biggest price freeze on over 138 best-selling, branded fragrances, with prices held until 2024.
The Perfume Shop said this year’s top price freeze, best-selling fragrances for women have included Calvin Klein Obsession, Katy Perry Killer Queen and Sarah Jessica Parker Lovely. Meanwhile, top-selling items for men have included Gold Oud Edition, Calvin Klein Obsession for Men, Calvin Klein CK Free and Police Extreme for Men.
The Perfume Shop’s managing director Gill Smith said: “We launched our price freeze commitment last October and by extending it to include even more top brands until 2024 we hope that our customers can treat friends, family or themselves, with the knowledge that our prices won’t change.
“It’s great to see so many of our customers shopping in this section. We know our customers will be looking to purchase perfumes in the lead up to special events such as Christmas, so we’ve made sure we have lots of options to choose from across different price points.”
The Perfume Shop said its VIP Rewards Club scheme had over five million members as of July 2023. The scheme enables customers to earn Perfume Points every time they spend and customers qualify for an additional 10% off all price freeze lines.
