The Perfume Shop to launch experiential concept store
The Perfume Shop is to launch its first experiential concept store later this month.
Due to open on 19 September at Sheffield’s Meadowhall shopping centre, the store will feature interactive areas such as a central play table for perfume testing and scented funnels with iPads to help customers find the right scent for them.
There will also be a personalisation area where customers will be able to decorate their purchases with diamantes, initials, gems, ribbons, pearls, bows and charms when making a purchase. In addition, shoppers will be given the opportunity to engrave their perfume bottles with names or messages for a small charge.
Designed by an internal team, the shop will also include a feature Instagrammable chandelier that reuses perfume bottles to highlight the retailer’s bottle recycling service.
Gill Smith, The Perfume Shop managing director, said: “We’re so excited to launch our first ever concept store with sensory experiences to help customers discover a new way of choosing perfume. The store experience encourages customers to browse perfume in a new, innovative, interactive way putting our expert’s knowledge at the forefront, with technology and fun at the core of the sensual experience.”
