The Perfume Shop reports strong Valentine’s sales
The Perfume Shop has been celebrating strong trading in the two weeks to Valentine’s Day when it sold 240,000 bottles.
Compared to the same time last year, the retailer delivered a 34% increase in retail sales across both classic and new perfumes, as well as a 50% increase in gift set retail sales.
Wednesday 12 February was the busiest trading day on The Perfume Shop website as more customers opted for last minute shopping. The day saw a 7% increase in perfume purchases as shoppers made the most of half price next delivery with guaranteed delivery before Valentine’s Day.
Demand for the retailer’s personalisation services was particularly strong, rising by 2% year-on-year, as customers ordered over 39,655 ribbons and 983 engraved fragrances.

The Perfume Shop also enjoyed a successful festive trading period when it sold two million bottles in the run-up to Christmas.
