The Perfume Shop launches largest perfume bottle recycling scheme
The Perfume Shop has launched its biggest perfume bottle recycling service to date as part of its ongoing commitment to combat unnecessary bottle wastage.
The retailer launched the scheme in 2018 and has now rolled out new and improved recycling units across all of its 211 UK stores.
For every bottle recycled, The Perfume Shop will make a donation the Eden Reforestation Projects.
Customers recycling their perfume bottles receive a 10% discount on the purchase of any fragrance of their choice. The retailer has also introduced a new 15% discount for same-day purchases.
Since partnering with the Eden Reforestation Projects in April 2021, The Perfume Shop has recycled over 7,282 empty perfume bottles and helped it to plant over 399,926 trees.
Gill Smith, managing director from The Perfume Shop said ‘When we launched the bottle recycling initiative it was the first of its kind for perfume bottles which we hadn’t seen before. We knew we wanted our loyal customers to both smell good but also feel good when they were aware what they could do with their empty fragrance bottles.
“At The Perfume Shop, we’re proud of the excellent work we’ve already achieved as a business with our partnerships and how we can look to combat wastage as much as we can and that’s why we’re continuing to build upon this year on year to make our cause even greater than before.”
