The Perfume Shop celebrates strong Valentine’s Day trading
The Perfume Shop has been celebrating strong Valentine’s Day results after selling 200,000 bottles of scent during its campaign.
This meant the retailer saw an 18% increase in sales volume compared to the same period in 2023.
The uplift was driven by a 67% rise in sales of classic fragrances and a 110% increase in gift sets year-on-year. Promotional deals were also popular.
The Perfume Shop’s busiest day online was Tuesday 13 February when perfume purchases climbed by 23%. The retailer’s personalisation services were also in high demand, with an increase of 13%.
Andrea Rickard, The Perfume Shop’s trading director said: “We knew that Valentine’s this year was going to be even more special than last year, which is why we’re so pleased to see exceptional sales results from both our stores and online. From classic and popular fragrances to something new, there was a fragrance for everyone purchasing ahead of the big day.
“Not only that, but we also ensured that we had lots of fantastic deals and options to choose from across different price points. Customers were able to buy some exciting scents for their loved ones and also make use of our personalised ribbon service and free gift wrap service to give that gift the personal touch which is available in all our stores.”
