The Hut Group welcomes Damian Sanders as non-executive director

Health and beauty retailer The Hut Group has appointed Damian Sanders as a non-executive director as it looks to strengthen its leadership team.

He will also take up the position of chair of the remuneration committee.

Sanders has already been acting as an independent special advisor to THG’s audit and risk committee since October and will remain on this committee following his appointment.

Until recently a senior audit partner at Deloitte in Manchester, he was also a member of Deloitte’s North West leadership team. He is also currently a non-executive director of Cineworld.

THG said it is planning to appoint another non-executive director within the  coming months and will also announce additional appointments to its special advisor panel.

Matthew Moulding, group chief executive and executive chairman of THG, said: “Damian’s appointment is testament to THG’s rigorous commitment to making quality appointments that will complement the board and support the group’s long-term growth. Over the course of the next 12 months, the board also plans to appoint another independent non-executive director to further strengthen the leadership team at THG.”
