The Hut Group acquires retail space in central Manchester
The Hut Group has acquired 12,000 square feet of space in an iconic Manchester building for its health and beauty brands.
Designed by Edwin Lutyens, 100 King Street has recently been home to a Jamie’s Italian restaurant.
The group is planning an extensive refurbishment that will be sympathetic to the listed building. This will include converting the former restaurant area into a ‘World of THG’ retail and experiential space.
The Hut Group chief executive Matthew Moulding said it will offer a new and innovative way for customers to discover its brands. He added: “The Hut Group is continuously looking at original ways to deliver the most engaging retail and wellbeing experience.”
The company has recently invested around £50 million in acquiring King Street Townhouse and Great John Street Hotel in Manchester. The move was part of plans to to develop new ways of showcasing its beauty and wellbeing brands.”
