The Fragrance Shop hails strong end to 2024

The Fragrance Shop has been celebrating a strong end to 2024, its 30th anniversary year.

Sales were up 4.6% year-on-year in the five weeks to 28 December after all categories performed well.

During the peak festive season there was surge in-store activity with traffic growing by 98.5% compared to an average day.

Meanwhile, the retailer benefited from a strengthened omnichannel offering in the period after the launch of its new ecommerce app in December.

Never Miss a Retail Update!

Sanjay Vadera, chief executive of The Fragrance Shop, said: “2024 has been a true milestone year for The Fragrance Shop, not only because of our record-breaking sales, store expansions, and digital innovations but we proudly celebrated our 30th anniversary.

“From setting a World Record to launching our new ecommerce app, this year has been a testament to our commitment to evolving with our customers and delivering the very best fragrance experiences.”

The Fragrance Shop opened six new stores in 2024 and completed three upsize refurbishments.

The year, the retailer will open its first international store in Dublin and is planning to launch new shops further afield.

Vadera said: “As we move into 2025, we are focused on continuing to grow our membership offering, investing in our stores to ensure a seamless and unified brand experience nationwide, and taking The Fragrance Shop to new heights—both in the UK and internationally.“
