The Estée Lauder Companies elects new board member
The Estée Lauder Companies has appointed Nike China global vice president and general manager Angela Wei Dong to its board of directors.
She has also become part of the company’s audit committee.
Dong joined Nike in 2005 and held positions of increasing responsibility at the sportswear brand before assuming her current role in 2015. She graduated from Tianjin University in China and has also received an MBA from Northwestern University and The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
William Lauder, ELC executive chairman, said: “Angela’s impressive background and experience will provide our board with valuable insights. In addition to her background in finance, Angela brings strong experience in strategic branding and marketing of consumer goods, in particular for Chinese consumers. We are excited that Angela has joined our board.”
