Superdrug opens 13 new stores this summer

Superdrug is expanding  its store estate with the opening of  13 new shops over the summer.

Since June, the health and beauty retailer has launched stores in Glasgow Chester, Liverpool and Leeds and will also open eight shops in places like Bolton, Newcastle and London. In addition, the retailer will make its entry into the Channel Islands with a new shop in Jersey.

The stores launches during the summer have created over 120 jobs. Superdrug is planning to open 14 more stores by the end of the year, which will result in an additional 150 jobs.

The retailer is also expanding its Beauty Studio offering which will create 100 jobs for professional nail technicians and beauty therapists.

Nigel Duxbury, Superdrug property director, said; “We’re delighted to open more stores across the UK.  Our new stores are on high streets, shopping centres and retail parks ensuring that we are in the right place for the customers when they need health and beauty essentials and services.”
