Superdrug makes £50k donation to LGBTQ+ charity

Superdrug and Unilever have teamed up to make a joint £50,000 donation to the LGBTQ+ charity, Switchboard.

Founded in 1974, Switchboard operates a nationwide helpline that offers the LGBTQ+ community a safe space to discuss sexuality, gender and identity.

In addition, the two companies are continuing their three-year Pride partnership this year with the launch of a capsule collection of special edition rainbow wrapped products across the Lynx, Closeup, Simple and Vaseline ranges. They are also supporting the first Brighton Digital Pride which will be taking place on 1 August.

Superdrug commercial director Simon Comins said: “We are extremely pleased to be partnering with Unilever, and offering this donation to Switchboard. As a leading LGBTQ+ charity, they are offering an irreplaceable service to the community, one which we are delighted to be able to support. At Superdrug, we’re proud to be a business where everyone (from our colleagues, to our customers), can be themselves.”
