Space NK to move to upsized shop in Covent Garden

Beauty retailer Space NK has selected 3 Neal Street for the launch of its upsized store in London’s Covent Garden.

Due to open in May, the shop will be a relocation from the current store at 32 Shelton Street.

The new 2,000 square foot space will be the brand’s first ever shop that is split across a ground floor and basement. It will offer a selection of over one hundred beauty brands, including latest must-haves such as Rare Beauty by Selena Gomez and Rose Inc from Rosie Huntington-Whitley. The additional basement space will enable the retailer expand its product offering.

Charlie Evans, head of retail at Space NK, said: “We are delighted to be expanding our store in Covent Garden. As the location of our first store over 25 years ago, Covent Garden is an integral part of our history. The brand-new Neal Street space will be our first ever two floor store and we are looking forward to our customers visiting our expanded location and shopping a range of beauty products.”

Space NK’s relocation follows new that Diageo, the maker of Guinness, is to invest £73 million in ‘Guinness at Old Brewer’s Yard’, a new microbrewery and culture hub in Covent Garden, which will open in autumn 2023.

Simon Taylor, property director at the Mercers’ Company, added: “Space NK has been a staple of both Covent Garden and the Mercers’ Company’s portfolio for many years and it is much loved by all who come to visit. The brand’s commitment in the area is testament to both the iconic status of Covent Garden, and our continued investment in our spaces.”
