SmileDirectClub partners with Well Pharmacy to expand in UK

US teledentistry brand SmileDirectClub has announced plans to open nine UK SmileShops in London, Manchester, and Birmingham, some of which will be opened in partnership with Well Pharmacy.

The first outlets will launch in London’s Hammersmith, Oxford Circus and Tower Bridge and in Crossway in Birmingham. In addition, Well Pharmacy will pilot four SmileShops within its  locations in Cambridge, Newcastle, Cardiff, and Leeds.

The SmileShops will offer customers access to teeth straightening solutions through doctor-directed remote clear aligner therapy.

John Nuttall, chief executive at Well Pharmacy, said: “Well Pharmacy is delighted to partner with SmileDirectClub. We are committed to giving our customers choice and access to safe and effective healthcare solutions that they can trust. There is a gap in the market for more affordable, convenient, and innovative teeth straightening solutions, and we’re excited to pilot this service in four key retail locations.”
