Sky Organics names founder as first chief sustainability officer

Beauty and personal care brand Sky Organics has appointed its founder Dean Neiger as its first chief sustainability officer.

The move will kick off the brand’s efforts for September National Organic Month which includes a partnership with Ecologi, the subscription-based carbon offsetting platform, in which it will plant trees in core reforestation sites around the world.

Neiger has stepped down from his longstanding position as Sky Organics’ chief strategy officer to enable him to dedicate himself fully to the role.

He said: “I am so proud of all we have built as a company but recognize that we have more work to do in improving our sustainability efforts. Sky Organics is an inclusive and environmentally responsible brand and becoming a more sustainable brand is no longer a choice, but a responsibility. I want to pour myself into continuing to make ourselves, and the world around us, the best it can be.”
