Seasonal jobs available at Boots this Christmas
Boots is calling for applications to fill over 5,500 seasonal roles across the UK as the leading health and beauty retailer prepares for the busy Christmas shopping period.
Boots Christmas Customer Advisors play an indispensable role in stores, helping customers find the items they need and ensuring that shoppers receive the excellent customer experience they expect from Boots this festive season.
There are also over 1,000 roles available for Christmas Warehouse Operatives and Picker Packers at Boots’ state-of-the-art distribution centre in Burton-on-Trent and a further 250 at Beeston. These roles play a critical role in the distribution and delivery of boots.com orders, which are expected to be extremely high this peak season.
In addition, 300 roles are available at the customer support centre at Boots’ head office in Beeston, Nottingham. Christmas Customer Care Advisors ensure that customers contacting Boots with any queries about their orders do not experience any delays during this busy period.
Donna Hodgins, Head of Recruitment at Boots, said: “Christmas roles at Boots are perfect for people who are interested in exploring roles in the retail industry and gain valuable work experience at the same time. We’re looking for team players with a passion for customer service, whether they are helping customers in our stores or over the phone or picking and packing online orders. In return, we offer excellent training and development and meaningful benefits. Plus, a Christmas role can lead to a permanent position with us, so it could be the start of a new and exciting career path.”
Sam Maddocks, Distribution Centre Supervisor at Boots’ Burton site, said: “I started at Boots as a Picker Packer at Burton in 2018 on a temporary Christmas contract. I really enjoyed the experience, so when a permanent role became available, I applied straight away and I’m now a supervisor with managerial responsibilities. I have enjoyed growing my career at Boots and working as a team with some incredible colleagues. If you are looking for work this winter, I would recommend trying a Christmas role at Boots – you never know where it could take you!”
Team members at Boots’ Burton distribution centre work alongside 200 ‘cobots’. The collaborative robots work alongside colleagues by carrying orders between picking stations, cutting down the distance the warehouse teams must walk and improving productivity.
