Penhaligon’s and Kiehl’s launch new stores at Liverpool ONE

Liverpool ONE has seen two beauty brands open new stores at the shopping destination.

British perfume house Penhaligon’s has chosen Liverpool One as the location for its first north west flagship while US skincare brand Kiehl’s has launched a new improved store. Both stores are situated on Peter’s Lane.

Penhaligon’s  has opened a 500 square foot shop that showcases the brand’s range of scents, bath, body and candle collections. Designed by an in-house team, the store aims to emulate the look of a classic English manor house and features painted timber panelling and British oak flooring. In addition, it offers customers access to a central sommelier bar from where they can have personalised and digital fragrance profiling consultations.

Lance Patterson, chief executive of Penhaligon’s, said: “We give great consideration to the locations of our stores to ensure they align with Penhaligon’s bespoke, luxury values, and Liverpool ONE is the perfect footing for our step into the North West region. We look forward to becoming better acquainted with customers to the destination and building our brand appeal at Liverpool ONE.”

Meanwhile,  L’Oréal-owned Kiehl’s has relaunched at Liverpool ONE with a new 500 square foot store.

Alison Clegg, director of asset management at Grosvenor Europe, said: “Liverpool ONE is fast becoming the number one destination for premium brands in the North West. These two entrants will provide a boost to our well established high-end line-up, which also boasts Kate Spade, Mint Velvet and Polo Ralph Lauren. Both Penhaligon’s and Kiehl’s place great focus on the in-store visitor experience, complementing the high standards of our extensive retail mix at Liverpool ONE.”

The new openings follow a successful 2019 for Liverpool ONE when sales increased by 2.5% year-on-year.
