Morphe to open first store in north east of England
US makeup brand Morphe is to open a first store in the north east of England at Newcastle’s Intu Eldon Square.
Spanning 4,400 square feet, the store will be the second Morphe shop to take space within Intu’s portfolio. The brand will open another store at Intu Victoria Centre in Nottingham this summer.
Mark Spillman, Morphe regional manager EMEA, said: “We know that Morphe will thrive at Intu Eldon Square as it’s the ideal location for our newest UK store and the first in the north east of England. This hugely popular shopping destination is at the heart of one of the country’s most exciting cities. It attracts a high footfall thanks to the fantastic mix of retail and leisure brands already in place.”
Morphe is currently distributed in 34 retail stores in the US, Canada and UK. It will be available in 39 retail stores by the end of August.
Intu Eldon Square has an annual footfall of 37 million. Brands with a presence in the shopping centre include the likes of All Saints, Hollister and Apple.
Kate Grant, regional managing director at Intu said: “Morphe is a fantastic fit for Intu Eldon Square’s vibrant location and flourishing retail and leisure mix and will be a very welcome addition for our high footfall of customers”.
