Molton Brown chooses Westquay for first Southampton store

Molton Brown has opened a new store in Hammerson’s flagship Westquay shopping destination in Southampton.

The 1,500 square foot shop is the brand’s first in the city and its 51st standalone store.

It will stock Molton Brown’s range of luxury fragrances and toiletries and will also offer customers hand arm massages and personal fragrance and gifting consultations.

Steve Clark, retail sales director at Molton Brown, said: “We at Molton Brown have been passionately investing in our stores over the last few years, ensuring that they evolve to stay relevant. It is no longer enough to offer amazing service and products. The environment itself needs to be truly impactful.”

Founded in  1971, Molton Brown holds a Royal Warrant for the supply of toiletries by appointment to her Majesty the Queen.

Other brands taking space in Westquay in 2019 have included luxury lifestyle retailer The White Company, escape room concept Locked in a Room and the Chopstix Noodle Bar.

Iain Mitchell, UK commercial director at Hammerson, said: “Molton Brown is a great example of a brand that has worked hard to deliver a really engaging and exciting in-store environment, as well as some incredible products. Its focus on providing a truly personal and tailored shopping experience is something that we’re seeing more and more demand for, all across our portfolio.”
