LVMH appoints new CEO for Sephora

Luxury group LVMH has appointed Martin Brok as the new president and chief executive of Sephora.

He will take up his new position on 14 September and will report to Chris de Lapuente who is moving from the role to take on additional responsibilities within LVMH.

Bernard Arnault, chairman and chief executive of LVMH Group, said: “I want to thank Chris for transforming Sephora over the last decade to be one of the world’s most successful retail brands with a unique culture and a formidably strong organisation.

“I am delighted to welcome Martin to work with Chris in creating the nest breakthrough chapter at Sephora. Martin brings extensive international leadership experience in multiple fast paced and client oriented businesses at a crucial moment of change for global retailing.”

Until April of this year, Brok was president of EMEA at Starbucks. Prior to that he worked for eight years at Nike, most recently as vice president of global product and merchandising operations and analytics. He has also previously worked with Burger King and The Coca-Cola Company.
