Lush brings Londoners an Asteroid City pop-up
Lush has collaborated with Focus Features on the opening of a new London pop-up that celebrates filmmaker Wes Anderson’s latest film, Asteroid City.
Open for five weeks, the Lush X Asteroid City gift shop has launched at Lush Studio in Soho, a week before the collection launches elsewhere.
A must-visit destination for the film’s fans, the pop-up was inspired by Anderson’s iconic style. Throughout the opening period, the shop will be selling an exclusive four-piece limited edition collection that includes a themed bath bomb, soap, shower gel and shower jelly. It will also be offering customers free slushies.
The pop-up will open Monday to Friday from 12pm to 6pm until Wednesday 12 July.
Asteroid City takes place in a fictional American desert town in around 1955 when the itinerary of a Junior Stargazer/Space Cadet convention is spectacularly disrupted by world-changing events.
Melody Morton, Lush concepts creative director, said: “The vibrant aesthetic of Wes Anderson’s Asteroid City really inspired us to create a fun, nostalgic range of products packed full of benefit-led ingredients like exfoliating sand and aloe vera. We loved that we could bring back our Space Girl fragrance as this is a fan favourite and it fits so well with the storytelling of the movie.
“We’re also excited to offer customers a real-life experience in London and Vegas – where we have created retail spaces inspired by the movie. This is a very limited exclusive range that will only be available for a short period, however we will have our Vegas location selling this product exclusively for 12 months. It will be worth a visit!”
