Look Fantastic reports 412% uplift in searches for travel sized toiletries

Online searches and sales for travel sized toiletries and lip products have surged in the last month according to figures from online beauty retailer Look Fantastic.

The Hut Group owned brand has seen a 412% year-on-year increase in searches for travel sized cosmetics in the period. In addition, it has experienced significant growth in searches for travel sized body and hair products, which rose by 148% and 23% respectively on the previous year.

Look Fantastic has also reported fast growth in sales of lip gloss, lips crayons and lip liner with sales climbing by 36%, 29% and 43% respectively. Meanwhile, lipstick sales have risen by 12% just as rules around face mask wearing have eased across England.

Rachel Horsefield, chief executive of THG Beauty, said: “These findings are encouraging for the travel industry and wider economy. Whether it’s stocking up on minis that can be stashed in hand luggage or splashing out on a new lip product as restrictions begin to ease, shoppers are clearly continuing to recognise the benefits of investing in self care during these uncertain times.”
