Holland & Barrett posts healthy Christmas sales growth
Holland & Barrett grew its like-for-like sales by 3.3% in the quarter ending 31 December after the retailer experienced growth in all of its markets.
Total sales climbed by 4.8%.
In a trading statement, the company said there were sales increases both online and in its stores. Growth was particularly strong in the online and personalised subscription categories due to trade being boosted by focused promotions and range extensions. In addition, there was significant growth in the clean beauty and vitamins categories.
Tony Buffin, Holland & Barrett chief executive, said: “Our customers are increasingly telling us they want to live more healthy lifestyles, to look better and to do so without compromising on the ethically and sustainably sourced products and services they buy. H&B is ideally placed to meet these demands in growing markets.”
