Gymshark to open first ever permanent physical store

Gymshark has announced plans to open its first ever permanent bricks-and-mortar location in the summer of 2022.

The fitness goods retailer said the flagship will be located in London’s Regent Street and will create over 100 jobs in the area.

The brand has signed a 10-year lease to take over an 18,000 sq ft location at 165 Regent Street, taking the space formally occupied by J Crew.

The flagship on Regent Street will support Gymshark’s mission to “unite the conditioning community with a space that will offer retail shopping, events, community hangouts, as well as workout studios and more”.

Further details of what to expect will be revealed closer to opening.

“We knew if we were going to do this, it would have to be an iconic location and it doesn’t get much more iconic than Regent Street,” Gymshark founder and chief executive, Ben Francis said.

“We are nothing without our community, so we wanted to create something that allows us to thank them and get closer to them.

“This store is not going to be like anything you have seen before. It will be an unforgettable experience and we can’t wait to welcome them through the doors next summer.”
