Dr.PAWPAW celebrated in FEBE growth 100 2024 list
Dr.PAWPAW, the family-owned originator of multipurpose beauty products, has been honoured in the prestigious FEBE (For Entrepreneurs, By Entrepreneurs) Growth 100 2024 list, which highlights Britain’s fastest-growing, founder-led private companies.
John Maffioli, FEBE co-founder, remarked, “This list reveals the fastest-growing companies in the UK where the founders are still involved. The FEBE Growth 100 showcases some of the country’s most talented entrepreneurs, exciting companies, and incredible teams.”
Founded in 2013 by husband-and-wife team Johnny and Pauline Paterson, Dr.PAWPAW was created as a natural solution to soothe their young daughter’s eczema. Today, the brand’s multipurpose beauty products, harnessing the power of the PAWPAW fruit, are available in nearly 50 countries and have won over 40 global awards. All Dr.PAWPAW products are vegan, crafted with sustainable and natural ingredients, and feature eco-conscious packaging. The brand is dedicated to feel-good beauty, donating money and products to various charities each year, and aims to provide multipurpose solutions for the whole family, helping them save time, space, and money.
Johnny and Pauline Paterson expressed their delight at the recognition, saying, “We are thrilled to be back in the FEBE Growth 100 list again. The past few years have been remarkable for our business, marked by the launch of a new skincare range, the expansion of our lip care products, and our successful product collaboration with Percy Pig™. We take immense pride in being a British manufacturer reaching markets around the globe, including the United States, Australia, and the Middle East. A heartfelt thank you to our dedicated team, our reliable suppliers, and everyone who has supported us on this journey. We are truly honoured by this prestigious acknowledgment from FEBE.”
The FEBE Growth 100 criteria include:
– Sales between £3m and £200m
– Trading for at least three years
– An operating profit in the latest financial year
– Founder(s) must still be involved
The companies are ranked by compound annual growth rate (CAGR) in sales over the last three financial years. Businesses are selected through self-nominations, direct contacts from FEBE, and publicly available financial information.
FEBE co-founder Charlotte Quince highlighted the broader mission of FEBE, saying, “We are excited to publish this year’s Growth 100. However, FEBE is so much more than a list. We are a network determined to empower and support one another. Those in our list, and FEBE legends that have appeared in previous lists, work together to share ideas and support each other. Together, we celebrate entrepreneurs who are the heartbeat of the UK economy; as they inspire, create, and drive positive change. We bring these leaders together throughout the year at our exclusive events and share their incredible stories.”
Former Dragon’s Den star and FEBE Growth 100 Ambassador Jenny Campbell added, “I’m proud to be part of something that celebrates and supports entrepreneurs and their companies. The FEBE Growth 100 focuses on true entrepreneurialism. Founders are unique: their experiences, vision, and resilience are unlike anything else.”
