Crabtree & Evelyn opens new London concept store
Beauty brand Crabtree & Evelyn has chosen London’s Islington for the opening of its first ever concept store.
The store opening weekend was kicked off with a session of live art on Friday in which artist Vic Lee set about creating a bespoke mural capturing the heritage of Crabtree & Evelyn and landmarks from around the shop’s location on Upper Street.
Passers-by and Crabtree customers were invited inside to explore the new store, browse the display of Christmas gifts on offer, and watch Lee in action. The first 100 people to visit the store were given a goody bag filled with Crabtree & Evelyn items.
In addition to providing retail space, the new “Townhouse” concept will act as an immersive events hub where there will be an ongoing programme of drop-in sessions for customers. This month events will include a writing workshop and a wreath making session, both of which will free of charge.
