Boots to be headline sponsor of Digital Health Rewired
Boots will be a headline sponsor of this week’s Digital Health Rewired festival which is running from 14 to 15 March.
The move marks the first time that the health and beauty retailer has participated in the event as it looks to highlight its growing adoption of technology to deliver digital healthcare services. Boots will be hosting a stand where delegates will be able to explore its range of in-store and online healthcare services and the technology it uses to deliver them.
The festival will also see the retailer’s chief executive Seb James making a keynote speech on the first day and Rich Corbridge, chief information officer, taking part in a panel discussion on personalised health on the high street.
Meanwhile Marc Donovan, Boots’ director of healthcare development and public affairs, will be part of a panel discussing digital clinical safety.
Corbridge said: “It feels like the right time as we have invested so much over the last couple of years in our digital health offering for patients, as well as in our deployment of the latest technologies that make our healthcare operations more streamlined. We can’t wait to talk to delegates about what we’re doing and how we can partner in the future to deliver the best outcomes for patients.”
Boots now offers 125 healthcare services via its online Boots Health Hub. Last year, the retailer completed a drone delivery of prescription medicines in a UK first.
