Boots enjoys strong Black Friday trading

Boots has revealed that the busiest trading time on Boots.com during Black Friday was between 11am and 12pm.

An average of 216 items were purchased per minute on the site while 63,000  orders were placed online. In addition, customers ordered a total of 194,000 items.

The health and beauty retailer has been running 600 promotions on its website and 60 major deals on the site and in its stores from 21 November to 2 December. New deals have been launched daily, including 15% off fragrances and premium beauty items and up to 50% off seasonal gifts.

Seb James, senior vice president and managing director of Boots UK, said: “Black Friday is fast becoming Black Fri-week, with UK retailers running one to two weeks of discounts rather than one single day – and Boots is no different.  The incredible teams from our distribution centres, stores and support office are working around the clock to deliver a brilliant customer experience both online and in store, and we are absolutely thrilled with the results so far.”
