Avon reports surge in UK rep signings

One year on from the start of the Covid-19 pandemic in the UK, beauty company Avon has seen an 30% increase in people signing up as reps.

Avon said the Norfolk Broads has been a praticularly popular area for new signings with a 233% uplift.  Other areas with strong increases include Brighton and Hove, Lewes, East Hertfordshire, Adur, South Oxfordshire, Mole Valley, Waverley, Epsom and Ewell, and Uttlesford.

However, Birmingham continues to have the largest number of Avon reps in the UK after seeing a 42% increase over the last 12 months.

Avon has transformed its selling networks to enable its reps to use their social networks and digital tools for selling following the pandemic. This has led to an 155% increase in online sales over the past year.

Angela Cretu, Avon chief executive said: “Over the past 12 months we’ve reduced the threshold to earn, helped our Avon reps embrace new online opportunities, supported them with video workshops and tips and insights on making the most of social media to connect with customers. Already online sales have more than doubled in the UK as a result, with reps being able to supplement or in some cases, completely replace lost incomes during these difficult times.”
