Tesco becomes the latest retail brand to join the Collaboration Community.
Diversity in Retail, the organisation that has built a Collaboration Community dedicated to diversity and inclusion in the Retail industry, has announced that it has achieved its mission of positively impacting over 1 million employees globally by 2025, two years ahead of schedule.
This milestone was reached as Tesco, one of the world’s largest retailers with over 345,000 employees, became the latest member of the Diversity in Retail Community which now boasts 28 of the UK’s biggest retail brands.
With Tesco’s commitment to creating a diverse culture representing its evolving communities, this is an important step on the road to building working environments that value individuality and forge a sense of belonging.
“From the outset, Diversity in Retail was focused on helping companies across the retail industry to build diverse and inclusive organisations” said Tea Colaianni, Founder and Chair of Diversity in Retail.
“We set ourselves the goal of positively impacting over 1 million employees globally by 2025 so delivering on this ambition two years ahead of schedule marks a huge milestone. We are also thrilled to be welcoming Tesco as our newest member. With Tesco’s dedication to the diversity agenda we are excited about the opportunities that lie ahead and the progress we can make by working together.”
