Zalando launches UK partner programme

German online fashion retailer Zalando has launched a partner programme in the UK which will enable other retailers and brands to display and sell their products on the Zalando platform.

The programme is already live in Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Switzerland, Italy, Luxemburg and Austria with more than 170 brands represented.

Robert Schütze, Zalando’s country manager for the UK, said: “The focus is always on the consumer. We aim to increase local relevance by attracting more brands from the UK, whilst at the same time maintaining our high standards to create the best shopping experience for our customers.

“The first partner has just been launched in the UK and we want to continue working with more brands and retailers who fit our portfolio, fulfil our standards and bring something new to the Zalando website.”

Zalando said its partners are chosen after being checked against criteria such as product quality and relevance of assortment, the ability to offer free delivery and free returns within 100 days, and the capacity to match Zalando quality standards in terms of logistics, delivery and product presentation.
