Yodel to create more than 2,900 roles in time for Christmas peak
Yodel has begun recruiting for 2,950 new positions across the UK as it gears up for what it expects to be its busiest festive period in recent history.
The new roles include a total of 2,500 self-employed and 450 employed opportunities for couriers and parcel sorters at Yodel’s 50 locations nationwide.
The announcement follows news that Yodel is creating a new Northern super-hub to support its long-term growth.
Mike Hancox, chief executive of Yodel, said: “The ongoing growth in online retail is set to continue into the festive season as consumers flock to buy gifts for friends, family and loved ones. We’re expecting this peak period to be higher in intensity and longer in duration than ever before as people look to prepare for Christmas earlier.”
