Xtend Barre chooses London for first flagship location in Europe
Fitness group Xtend Barre has chosen London for the opening of its first permanent European flagship location.
Secured on the company’s behalf by leisure property agency Shelley Sandzer, the 3,000 square foot site at 49 Marylebone High Street is situated within the lower ground level of London Medical’s headquarters building.
With 52 franchised locations and 131 licensed studios on five continents, Xtend Barre offers a range of workouts that include elements of dance, ballet and pilates. The London site will be the first standalone flagship location for the brand in Europe.
Catie Miller, owner and founder at Xtend Barre London, said: “Following our pop-up site in central London, we are so excited to be finally launching a permanent flagship on Marylebone High Street.
“Working out is now very much a part of modern living, and as a result, competition for space has intensified.”
When it opens in May, Xtend Barre will offer 12 variations of the classic Xtend Barre workout which is designed for all ages, genders and fitness levels.
Commenting on the deal, Casey Philips, acquisitions agent at Shelley Sandzer, said: “The D2 sector has had a massive growth spurt over the last five years with more small to medium sized offers such as spinning, yoga and personal fitness entering the market.
“Within this very competitive market, Shelley Sandzer’s unparalleled knowledge of sites meant that we were able to secure the perfect location for Xtend Barre’s flagship.“
