Wyevale launches property review

Strutt & Parker to assess centres
Wyevale Garden Centres has appointed property consultants Strutt & Parker to undertake a review of all its sites.

Wyevale, the UK’s largest garden centre operator, has disposed of a number of underperforming centres over the past year. The company is focusing its investment on larger sites which feature a more diverse retail offer, from gifts to fresh produce.
Wyevale’s chief executive said the the review of the property portfolio “is one of the three areas of focus reported at the time of our full year results on March 15. We operate 114 centres in the UK and this review will help to ensure that we make the most of this very substantial asset.
“It will include a detailed survey and analysis of all sites to ascertain the value of existing property assets as well as values for any future alternative use.”
