Woolworths to supply Tesco with CDs and DVDs
Entertainment UK agrees deal with supermarket giant
Woolworth’s wholesale arm Entertainment UK has agreed terms with Tesco for the supply of entertainment products.
Entertainment UK will supply entertainment products, mainly DVDs, CDs and computer games, to Tesco’s UK stores.
The deal builds on an existing arrangement between the two, which has grown as entertainment becomes a major driver of non-food sales for Tesco, the UK’s biggest retailer.
Under the new contract EUK will continue as Tesco’s major supplier of CDs, video (including DVD and VHS) and computer games, initially until February 2007.
The two have also committed “to working together in a more collaborative way to improve the efficiency of the entertainment supply chain for the benefit of both parties and Tesco’s customers”.
