Wilko hires Neil Feakins as customer insight and data director

Wilko has appointed Neil Feakins to the role of customer insight and data director.

Feakins will join the retailer on 4 October after previously working as client partner at global marketing and media consultancy, Ebiquity.

In his new position, Feakins will report to Lisa Wilkinson, the family director of parent company Wilkinson Hardware Stores.

Wilkinson said: “This is a great appointment for Wilko and further demonstrates our commitment to becoming a business more focused on making products our customers tell us they need.“

The news follows the recent announcement that Alex Russo will be joining Wilko’s senior management team as chief financial officer and the appointment of Craig McGregor as retail director. Russo will be joining the business from Asda where he has been chief financial officer for the last five years. Meanwhile, McGregor’s previous roles include retail director at Topshop/Topman and Specsavers.

Wilkinson added: “As we prepare for our centenary year in 2030, we have set ourselves some new goals to work towards and are committed to making sure we have the right leadership, skills and experience in place to make this happen.

“We are pleased to be building such a strong leadership team across our entire business and having worked closely with Neil over the past few years I’m delighted he has chosen to join the team and that he will now be even more closely involved in driving our transformation.”
