Wickes promotes Sarah Taitt to role of chief property and services officer
The Wickes home improvement retailer has promoted Sarah Taitt to the newly created role of chief property and services officer.
Before joining Wickes in 2022 as property director, Taitt was director of purchasing for the British Virgin Islands leading retail group, Riteway.
She has also previously worked with Aldi and as director of property, procurement and store development at Homebase.
In her new position, Taitt will continue to be responsible for Wickes’ property function, which includes leading the development and growth of around 230 stores. She will also lead its installation business, which comprises the fitting of Wickes’ kitchens, bathrooms and other larger installation projects that are delivered by more than 3,000 Wickes-approved installer teams.
Taitt will become part of the retailer’s executive board and will report directly to David Wood, the retailer’s chief executive.
Wood said: “Sarah has made a huge impact since she joined in 2022. Sarah’s laser focus of getting it right for the stores, her tenacity and speed in developing the store network and relentless focus to maximise value have been exceptional. This promotion is very well deserved and Sarah will be a tremendous addition to the Wickes executive team.”
