Wickes opens first new store in Scotland in over ten years
Home improvement retailer Wickes has opened its first new store in Scotland since 2013 at Arnhall Business Park in Aberdeen.
The 32,000 square foot space offers a range of home improvement products for both trade professionals and customers looking to improve their own homes.
It also features a showroom for bathrooms and kitchens, a paint mixing station and an outdoor project centre. In addition, it is the first from the retailer to include solar panels from SolarFast, as part of the new Wickes Solar offering.
Sarah Taitt, chief property an services officer at Wickes, said: “We are thrilled to be opening a new Wickes store in Aberdeen. Our first Scottish location to open in over 10 years, the new store will offer residents of Aberdeen and the surrounding areas a wide range of home improvement products, services, and expert advice from our knowledgeable staff. We look forward to meeting our new customers”.
Wickes has also announced that it is trialling new opening hours for its stores across Dumfries, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Stirling, Dundee and Perth, with the shops now opening between 8am and 6pm on Sundays.
